Background

GDA, also known as guanine deaminase isoform b, catalyzes the hydrolytic deamination of guanine, producing xanthine and ammonia. Studies in rat ortholog suggest this gene plays a role in microtubule assembly. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Recombinant human GDA, was expressed in E.coli and purified by conventional chromatography techniques. Produced in E. coli
