Applications/Dilutions

Dilutions
  • Western Blot 0.1 ug/ml
  • Peptide ELISA Detection limit 1:32000
Application Notes
WB: Preliminary experiments gave an approx. 35 kDa band in lysates of human brain, placenta and prostate and of cell lines Daudi, HeLa and K562 after 0.1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 78.6 kDa band according to NP_000224.2. The 35 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Background

LHCGR encodes the receptor for both luteinizing hormone and choriogonadotropin. Mutations in this gonadotropin receptor result in disorders of male secondary sexual character development, such as familial male precocious puberty and male pseudohermaphtoditism.
