The antibody 7LE recognizes Lewisa blood group antigen, a carbohydrate determinant carried on both glycolipids and glycoproteins, expressed in colonic epithelial cells. Lewisa may be useful for detection of gastrointestinal, pancreatic and colorectal tumors.
