Human BMP-5 Biologically Active Protein

Product: Lenalidomide (hydrochloride)

Human BMP-5 Biologically Active Protein Summary

Description
A biologically active protein corresponding to amino acids Ala317 – His454 of BMP5.

Source: CHO-derived cell line

Preparation
Method
Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution in HCl.
Details of Functionality
Measured by its ability to induce alkaline phosphatase production by ATDC5 mouse chondrogenic cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.2 – 1.2 ug/mL.
Protein/Peptide Type
Biologically Active Protein
Gene
BMP5
Endotoxin Note
<0.01 EU per 1 ug of the protein by the LAL method.

Applications/Dilutions

Theoretical MW
15.6 kDa.
Disclaimer note: The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.

Packaging, Storage & Formulations

Storage
Store at 4C short term. Aliquot and store at -20C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Concentration
LYOPH
Reconstitution Instructions
Reconstitute with 0.1 mg/ml in 4 mM HCl to desired concentration.

Notes

This product is provided in a Carrier Free format and does NOT contain BSA. This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8 degrees C, but should be kept at -20 degrees C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is most stable at -20 to -80 degrees C, and can be stored for one week at 2-8 degrees C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20 degrees C to -80 degrees C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
